12/08/24 My girl friend and I set out to ice skate nearby but the rink was unexpectedly closed (curse you little pine/little palm bar). We wandered around and decided to eat while we were downtown, and ended up at Le Farfalle. We were greeted by two nice young ladies at the host stand. Since we did not have a reservation, we waited for a seat at the bar. It was uncomfortably warm inside compared to outside and we had to peel off our layers quickly. We waited approximately 10 minutes to be seated at the bar and met Jameson. He is the main reason I would consider coming back to this restaurant. He is very sweet, kind, funny, and patient. We felt very comfortable and safe in his care. If I could write this entire review being a platonic love letter to him without it being super weird, I would. We ordered the focaccia as a small plate, and it was the perfect size for 2-3 people. My girl friend ordered spaghetti and I got the Fusilli Lunghi, at Jameson's recommendation. The pasta was a little more firm than I expected, but I enjoyed it a lot. I took home a slice of chocolate cake which was phenomenal. It was rich, and moist with the hazelnut frosting and dusting of powder sugar. I'm very picky with my desserts and this was a winner. All in all, I had a good dinner at Le Farfalle. I would recommend it to others (and I have), but I am fearful to go back and not have the same experience! I would need to be at the bar with Jameson or I'm not going at all

This was our first meal when visiting Charleston and I couldn't recommend this highly enough! There was a bit of a wait but the restaurant had nice high tables to sit at that were candlelit. we ended up sitting at the bar and had a really friendly server that was willing to tell us all of his favorite foods. We ended up ordering the things he recommended and they were delicious! Our very favorite thing that we had was the whipped ricotta that had a little bit of oil and honey in it. It was so good!!!! Be ready to spend some $ but it is worth it.

Food here was excellent as was the service. Very busy all the time and I made my reservations a month in advance. Entree's took longer to arrive than I would have expected but the place was very busy. However the food was so good so worth the extra time. Highly recommend.

Sasha was our server. She was excellent! The food was amazing!! Based on the reviews, we ordered the whipped ricotta and baguette appetizer. It was silky smooth and delicious! Then we ordered the braised artichoke hearts, the crispy potatoes vinaigrette, and the agnolotti. It was all fabulous! I would recommend everything we ordered and would definitely go back again. The outdoor patio is very nice but they weren't seating outside when we arrived. The atmosphere inside was still nice. Definitely recommend this place.

I thought I'd already reviewed Le Farfalle, but Yelp is dunning me for a review, so I guess not. Okay, we were happy to have made reservations for an early evening supper - got right in and were treated wonderfully by Michael R. The patio is lovely and room is pretty . . . but it's loud. Or, it was while the louts at the table next to us were shouting along with their drinks - it quieted quite a bit when they left and the elegance of the restaurant began reasserting itself. The food was, well, kinda mixed. My bucatini main was very good; my wife reported her linguine were great. Our pre-dinner drinks (negroni and Garden Party) were fine - I didn't think the negroni was all that and backed it up with some local IPA (tasty) but my wife got a second GP. The rosemary focaccia was filling but nothing special and the Sicilian meatballs were just not that impressive - loose and without anything that set them apart for me. I was really happy with the amari list to construct a flight (really good choices) and my wife liked her limoncello. Upshot: Le Farfalle was solid - especially the room, the mains and the fantastic service - but there were a lot of things that just didn't hit for us. $10 for meh bread and $12 for meh meatballs? $14 for a meh negroni? Okay, fine - but I wish I'd had a pre-dinner amari flight instead because the post-prandial one was flat-out fantastic. Perfectly happy with the mains, though - and I can't say enough good about how well Michael took care of us. We are likely to return on our next jaunt to the Holy City.

a few things to note-- this place is popppinnnnnn. Getting a seat will be tough, as they don't take reservations, but can put you in line once you arrive. We were seated at the bar, and the bartenders were amazing and kind! I did hear one of them describe the caccio e pepe as "adult mac and cheese" and I was jokingly taken aback lol. It was more cramped but thankfully the people beside us were gracious. Anyways, the most important part is the FOOD. God and the angels were with us at this meal because it was so delicious. Absolutely order the rosemary focaccia with whipped ricotta ok listen u must. We also grabbed mocktails which were tasty as well. a very charming place, cute outdoor seating, and very intimate and romantic vibes.

I honestly don't know how this restaurant doesn't have 5 stars. This was our 3rd time visiting Charleston and is our favorite restaurant we've been to BY FAR. I'm sad that we didn't know about this spot sooner! We decided to come on a whim (thanks to Yelp!) when our previous dinner plans fell through. The restaurant was booked inside without a reservation but they had room outside on their patio for walk ins. I'm so glad we got to experience the patio. It's so picturesque and charming. The food was absolutely stellar. We had the whipped ricotta to start which was fun and flavorful but even better when we dipped our entrees in it. For dinner my husband got the sea bass which was so so so good. It was our first time having it and we were both blown away by how good it was. I ordered the Fideo which far exceeded my expectations. It was really unique and flavorful! I was also really happy with the amount of blue crab in the fish. What REALLY made our visit (beyond the fabulous food) was our waitress. She was so kind, attentive, and made excellent, thoughtful recommendations based on our tastes. She also gave us a complimentary chocolate cake in our to go bag which was such a kind gesture. The cake was delicious! We enjoyed it later that night as I raved about how much I enjoyed our dinner! I can't wait to come back!
